2 El bombo,
La Mancha; Spain
El bombo is specific object in corbelling. It has corbelled
inner construction, with fence around the complex, typically
composed of three rooms (for man, for a mule and foreroom).
Inbetween inner construction and the fence one can find filler:
gravel. This material defines outer shape of el bombo, because
angle of the slope depends of material itself. Man can not
force it.
El bombo is object for temporary use of workers on the vineyards
around Tomellosso in La Mancha, central Spain. Those objects
can be found in circle of 5 kilometres around centre of the
town: this distance can be passed with a mule and a carriage
in about three hours. A lot of los bombos are Today in use
as weekend houses.
